- Stripping and Building Axles
by claytonsmithlineStarted cutting all the factory suspension brackets off. Very time consuming but it saved some money. Got the one axle all cleaned and disassembled, sent it out for machining to make it my rear steer axle. Welding trusses onto axles, installing ARB lockers F&R with BIG 40 spline axles & 1550 u-joints. - I brought this home. It’s the beginning of our next buggy.
by claytonsmithlineThis is the very start. The axles need to be cleaned up and stripped of all non-usable components. Chassis needs final welds and then, we start adding brackets for every single one of our components. What components, you ask? This website will take you through each one as I put it together.
